Hi I'm Sue Lucey and I'm the principal at ASA Charter School here in San Bernardino. I hope this little video that we put together gives you a good idea of what ASA Charter School is all about. We love this school, our students love this school and our parents love this school and I hope you get a sense of why, as you watch over the next couple of minutes, we think ASA Charter School is wonderful. My name is Lea and I am a parent of two students. My son is in second grade and my daughter is in 1st and what ASA has taught my kids is to read and to write also to comprehend. When they came they did not know their alphabets, their numbers. They didn't know how write either.  They are now both excelling in their classes and comprehend when they read. They understand who the main characters are of the books and they understand the homework that they are doing. I appreciate ASA for their family orientation and for their lesson plans and I do appreciate them for how my kids are more structured. ...student talking ... ... Ok so he grew up and became a teacher right? What do you think happened before? What events happened before he became a teacher? What do you think he had to have done? ... ... ... Yeah, he went to school He went to college to learn how to be a teacher. We don't just like decide we're going to be a teacher and show up one day.  We have to go to college. Hi I'm Alexandra Hernandez. I am a Junior at ASA Charter School. Well, ASA has been always there for me like ever since literally since I was a child been here pretty much my 17 years they've been here and the teachers are always helpful the staff and everyone so I just, I don't know, I'm just so thankful for them, it's like even though right now, don't struggling with things they're always there to help me. That's what ASA has always done for me. They have always been there, but thank you.
