Internet Access Electronic Network Use Agreement 2024-2025

Internet Access Electronic Network Agreement

Please complete the form below. Required fields marked with an asterisk *

Internet Access Electronic Network Agreement

Please read this document carefully. Parent/guardian and student signatures are required before Internet access can be provided as part of the education program.

ASA Charter School believes that the benefits to staff and students from access to the Internet, in the form of information resources and opportunities for collaboration, far exceed any disadvantages of access. Ultimately, parent(s) and guardian(s) of minors are responsible for setting and conveying the standards that their child or ward should follow. To that end ASA supports and respects each family’s right to decide whether or not to apply for Internet access.

The Computer Network or Internet Acceptable Use Policy is to prevent unauthorized access and other unlawful activities by users online, prevent unauthorized disclosure of or access to sensitive information, and to comply with the Children’s Internet Protection Act (“CIPA”).

Penalties for Improper Use: The use of a school account is a privilege, not a right, and misuse will result in the restriction or cancellation of the account. Misuse may also lead to other legal action, including criminal prosecution by government authorities.

Disclaimer:

The school makes no guarantees about the quality of the services provided and is not responsible for any claims, losses, damages, costs, or other obligations arising from use of the network or accounts

Acceptable Use Policy Agreement:

1. Use of the Internet is a privilege that may be revoked at any time. School computer systems are for use by authorized individuals only. Individuals using these systems are subject to having all activities on these systems monitored by system or security personnel. Anyone using these systems expressly consents to such monitoring. Prosecution and/or account termination will occur without warning.

2. Computer security cannot be made perfect and it is possible that a determined user can make use of computer resources for inappropriate purposes.
