how is the dragon this is Miss Arlene today we have a full loading shark science project so we're going to need a toilet paper roll 1/3 vegetable oil a picture of a shark 3 pennies tape a balloon a funnel and a bowl filled with water as soon as you all could see I have all my cereals here ready so let's go ahead and get started with this science project okay we're going to get the toilet paper roll tape the picture of the shark so we're going to get the picture and and tape it to the top of the toilet paper roll so this is going to be at work shark let's go ahead and get some tape play zidane shark on top of it just like this make sure it's a very secure because we're going to be putting this in water going to fall off okay so once we have this put together it's going to look like this here is our shark for this project okay 1 2 3 pennies and we're going to grab more tape hours shark we're going to flip it over and we're going to be taping the pennies at the bottom of the toilet paper roll cage it's like that okay boys and girls so my three pennies hour are already taped at the bottom of a shark and here's their shark now let's go ahead and put it inside the pool with water before we do what are you boys and girls stink is the shark going to float or is it going into sync all right let's find out here and our shark stinking boys and girls shark sunk to the bottom of the bowl okay boys and girls are shark and did not float all right now we're going to be getting and the cup of 1/3 remember 1/3 and our a vegetable oil okay boys and girls we're going to be pouring in the vegetable oil make sure it's one third of a cup just like this once that's done we're going to be getting our balloon and we're going to pour the oil inside of the balloon we're going to fill the Hunan with the oil okay proud boys or girls my balloon is filled with the oil unfortunately I did not have a funnel so I went ahead and use this a medicine dispenser it worked perfectly fine to dispose oil inside of my balloon okay sorry balloon is filled make sure you tie a knot at the top of it and now we needed to get our shark and put the balloon inside of the toilet paper roll okay okay boys and girls are just like that our balloon has to be inside of the toilet paper roll so here's our shark and we still have the three Penny's at the bottom of the shark okay there's our belief and here is our shark now oil inside the balloon do you boys and girls think that the shark going to float or is it going to stink okay so let's go ahead and drop our shark inside the bowl and look at it boys and girls hours shark is this time do you boys and girls know why it float at this time and it did not float the first time will let me go ahead and explain a little bit most fish have a bladder full with gas this is what keeps them down sharks do not have the splatter but they do have other adoptions which are no bones large liver and staring since the liver is filled with an oil that is simmer go to the vegetable oil that we have used in this experiment and it acts like a swim bladder of other fish by giving them neutral buoyancy this is why this time it did float well boys and girls it was our project I hope you guys enjoyed it and learned a little bit about what inside of the shark and what keeps them floating right by
