Home Made Popcorn & Cranberry Garland
Items you'll need:
*2 bags No salt or butter popcorn (leave out for a day or few hours STALE)
*2 bags of cranberries fresh( optional)
*tapestry needle (parent supervision)
*fishing string or thread (double threaded)
To start: This is going to take a lot of patience and time so don't rush this activity. You will want to use popcorn kernel's that are plump in size and make sure that they are stale. Using a thread double threaded or fishing line is good you will string on 4 to 5 popcorn kernels and then a cranberry if you choose to use cranberries as well. You can make this garland as long as you want its up to you and your parent or adult. I hope you have fun with this activity. When you are done please post a pic to the ASA's site and I will do the same once I finish with my grandkids. Hope you have as much fun as we are!
Ingredients for Homemade butter
* heavy cream
* small mason jar
* salt
What you will do it start with pouring the heavy cream half way full and add a teaspoon of salt. Place the lid tightly onto the mason jar and begin shaking. Shake the jar continuously, this may take a while so be patient and keep shaking. You will start to feel and see when it starts to thicken, but continue shaking. Once you see that it is a big clump, there might be a little bit of water or milk like substance that is called buttermilk. Just pour that out and shake a little bit more. Once this is done you will have home made butter and now you can try it on a piece of bread or toast and you can refrigerate to make more firm. I hope you enjoyed this fun activity and you see how easy it is to make butter. The next time you run out of butter just let mom know that you can make some 😊
Everything you need:
* red, orange, yellow, green and brown paint
* construction paper or plain printer paper
* red and black crayon
* wiggly eye or use a black crayon or marker
First you will paint each of your fingers whatever colors you choose and your thumb and palm of your hand you'll paint brown. Next, place your painted hand onto the paper softly and hold the paper with your other hand to make sure it doesn't move. After you take your hand off wash your hand and let this dry for a few hours. Once this is dry, you can draw the 2 legs, the waddle, beak, and draw the eye onto the thumb. I hope you enjoyed this project and have a safe vacation.
For this activity, the ingredients you'll need is:
* Apple slices
* Marshmallows
* peanut butters
* butter knife( with parent assistance)
You will first take 2 apple slices and spread some peanut butter onto both apple slices. Next, you will take 4 to 6 small marshmallows and place them onto one of the apple slices with peanut butter. Lastly, you will place the other slice of the apple on top of the marshmallows and make like a sandwich. By looking at the picture you will be able to see how to place the apple slices together to for the mouth/teeth.
I hope you have fun and enjoyed making this fun treat.
